Veteran school administrator and professional development agent Pete Hall has dedicated his career to supporting the improvement of our education systems. Besides partnering with Alisa Simeral on three ASCD books including “Fostering Resilient Learners”, he authored The First-Year Principal (Scarecrow Education, 2004) and Lead On! Motivational Lessons for School Leaders (Eye on Education, 2011).

Hall currently works as an educational consultant as a member of the ASCD faculty and trains educators worldwide. And this June, we are honored to have Pete Hall as one of our keynotes at the School Mental Health 2018 Conference.

And as if that news wasn’t enough….Bob VandePol, MSW the Executive Director of Pine Rest Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will be another keynote at the conference.

Prior to spear heading PineRest’s EAP program, Mr. VandePol was president of the world’s largest provider of critical incident response services to the workplace. Active as a keynote speaker, he has published and been quoted in business and clinical journals, co-authored book chapters addressing workplace response to tragedy, and has been featured as subject matter expert in numerous video training series.

At the School Mental Health Conference on June 19 & 20, Mr. VandePol will be speaking on how to create a culture of safety within schools and making risky situations less likely to end in tragedy. Mr. VandePol managed CCN’s Command Center in Manhattan after the 2001 terrorist attacks and frequently consults regarding how executives can lead organizational recovery during crises. He brings tremendous insights in the EAP programs and services with his experience in crisis response training and consultation.
