Your PSAT and SAT scores are in…now how do you get the most out of them?
You may find yourself asking questions like…what do these results indicate? Should I be proud or concerned? Are there patterns to watch for?
Help is here! Cross disciplinary district teams will have the opportunity to participate in a highly interactive Data Analysis Protocol Workshop presented by Wendy Zdeb, Ed.S., Executive Director of the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP).
Participants will be taught a data protocol and will participate in hands-on activities to break down their school’s PSAT 10 and SAT data. Presenter will discuss how this protocol can also be used with other assessments in the future and how looking at your data can inform instructional practice, curriculum decisions, and school improvement.
Participants will learn how to:
- recognize data patterns
- identify strengths and weaknesses
- spot achievement gaps
- identify instruction concerns
- use the data to set School improvement goals and plan professional learning
Join us on October 11 or February 13th to learn how to prepare your students for personal success on these high stakes assessments. This workshop also includes a segment on teaching Close Reading strategies and utilizing them on difficult reading passages.
