The Key to Student Success

What is the key to student success?

This is an on-going question with no clear answer.

On October 20 at 6:30 pm, Kent ISD and Celebration Cinema North will be hosting a free screening of the film Most Likely to Succeed. It is an exploration of one school’s attempt to prepare students for the demands of the modern world through project-based learning.

Many districts and schools in Kent County are implementing non-traditional educational models, and some were created to align closely with the New Tech High model that is featured in the film. Given the rapid changes occurring in our society and the increasing calls for change to our systems, this is a timely and necessary discussion.  The more informed we are, the more likely we are to make sound decisions moving forward.

If you attend (and you should), here is what you can expect:

  1. An 89 minute film that will cause you to think about and explore possibilities in education.
  2. Perspectives from a panel of guests that include local superintendents, administrators, business leaders, and students.
  3. A state of the art cinematic experience compliments of Celebration Cinema North.

Did I mention this is free?

We ask that all attendees register so that we can plan appropriately for the number. Please click HERE to go to the registration page.

We hope to see you there,
Craig Steenstra, Educational Technology Consultant
